 IDT Telecom Chosen By TRANZACT for Sears Phone Cards

Agreement Will Place Point of Sale Cards in More Than 1800 Sears Stores
 

Newark, N.J., October 14, 2004 - IDT Telecom today announced that it has been chosen by TRANZACT as the exclusive phone service provider for "Sears Connect" phone cards. "Sears Connect" cards are the Point of Sale Activated phone cards, available at more than 1,800 Sears Full Line, hardware, outlet and dealer stores. Customers can use the cards to make both domestic and international calls. IDT Telecom is a subsidiary of IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT, IDT.C), an international telecom, entertainment and technology company. TRANZACT is a marketing and technology solutions company.

"IDT is a brand consumers can trust," said Jim Courter, IDT's CEO. "This agreement between IDT Telecom and TRANZACT provides Sears customers with calling cards that are consistent with the quality and reliability that has become Sears¿ trademark."

Sears launched the phone cards nationally in August 2004. The cards will be available in four denominations ranging from $4.99 to $29.99 and will target domestic U.S., Mexican, Asian, Latin American and other international destinations. Under the terms of the agreement, TRANZACT will be responsible for merchandising and managing card sales within Sears stores. IDT Telecom is the technology partner and will manage the phone service.
