Toucan goes mobile on 11th of July. ToucanMobile is the latest service from Toucan, the consumer telecoms brand of IDT Europe, which is part of IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT, IDT.C), an international telecommunications, entertainment and technology company. It joins the existing range of Toucan services, comprising the ToucanTalk domestic landline service, the ToucanSurf range of Internet access services and the 118613 Directory Enquiry service.

ToucanMobile offers users the UK's simplest post-paid pricing structure with a range of 4 straightforward price plans. The plans offer a choice of 50, 150, 300 or 500 inclusive minutes a month over a 12-month contract period. Prices range from 15 a month for the entry level package, Toucan-50, up to 50 a month for Toucan-500. A key feature of the service is its promise of flat rates at all times, letting users make calls any time of the day or week without worrying about the cost.

ToucanMobile offers its users three particularly attractive benefits. In addition to 24 x 7 'on-network' calls between Toucan mobiles at only 5p a minute, users can call from a ToucanTalk landline to a Toucan mobile at the same rate. This brings ToucanTalk customers savings of nearly 70% on calls to mobiles during peak times*. "Off-network" rates are also highly competitive at 10p a minute to other landlines and 25p a minute to other mobiles, at all times.

Second, ToucanMobile offers highly competitive rates to overseas destinations. Uniquely, calls to 25 international landline destinations, including USA and Canada landlines and mobiles, are included in the cross-network element of each call plan's bundled minutes.

Third, Toucan brings fixed/mobile convergence a step closer by providing customers a single bill solution for home phone line, broadband and now mobile services, simplifying payment and giving them greater control over their budget.
