 IDT Corp. Names Senior V. P. of Human Resources

Dr. Hillel Davis, a former banking executive with doctorate in psychology will lead IDT hiring efforts in the competitive telecommunications field
 

Newark, NJ - March 3, 2000 - IDT Corp (NASDAQ:IDTC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Hillel Davis has been named Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Dr. Davis will be responsible for all personnel matters, including the implementation of an aggressive high tech hiring and retention program for the company. IDT is a leading multinational carrier, telephone company and Internet service provider.

According to data compiled by The Computing Technology Industry Association, nearly 269,000 high-tech jobs are currently going unfilled in the United States.

"It's no secret that the telecommunications field is fiercely competitive," Dr. Davis said. "I am pleased to join IDT at a time in when it is growing and emerging as an industry leader. I'm here to help try to sustain this momentum."

Dr. Davis was most recently the Senior Corporate Human Resources Officer at Republic National Bank of New York and was previously Senior Human Resource Officer at Citibank. He is a native of Chicago, but currently resides in Oceanside, New York with his wife Rachayl and their four children. Davis, 47, holds a Doctorate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from New York University and a B.A. in Mathematics from Yeshiva University.

"Having a proven professional of Dr. Davis's experience as our Human Resources Director underscores the importance we at IDT attach to the need for recruiting, evaluating and retaining key employees," said Jim Courter, IDT President and Vice Chairman.

To underscore its commitment to excellence, IDT named former Massachusetts Governor William Weld, New Jersey Institute President Saul Fenster and IDT Chief Financial Officer Stephen R. Brown to its Board of Directors on February 25.

In addition, the Newark, New Jersey based firm opened its IDT Europe Telecom Division's "Call Super Center" in Brussels, Belgium on February 23. The new hub serves as the central point-of-contact for European customers using IDT technology.
