IDT Corporation Announces Launch of "Aqui y Alla" Pre-paid Calling Card for the Spanish-Speaking Marketplace

Product combines IDT's pre-paid platform with Callback technology for convenient, low-cost calling to and from Latin America

NEWARK, N.J. - May 25, 2000 - IDT Corporation (NASDAQ: IDTC) today announced the launch of its "Aqui y Alla" pre-paid calling card product, targeted toward the Company's large and growing base of Spanish-speaking clientele, both in the United States and in Latin America. IDT is a leading multinational carrier, telephone company and Internet service provider.

"Communicating with family and friends shouldn't have to be an expensive and difficult ordeal," said Howard Jonas, IDT's Chairman and CEO. "Aqui y Alla" is another prime example of how IDT is working aggressively to make global communications easier and more affordable for everyone, no matter where they live or where they're calling from."

"Aqui y Alla" will be available in the U.S. this summer and distributed by Union Telecard Alliance through its extensive distribution network of over 100,000 community-based retail outlets, including convenience stores and gas stations. By incorporating voice and programming prompts in Spanish, the card is a convenient and inexpensive way for users to communicate with their friends and relatives in Latin America.

"The "Aqui y Alla" initiative is indicative of IDT's continuing commitment to identify the needs and provide solutions for our Latin American consumer base," said Ami Reschke, Vice President of Sales & Product Development.

Union Telecard currently markets over 125 pre-paid calling card products, which are primarily distributed to the various ethnic groups in the U.S. who make international calls. In March 1998, IDT announced it had acquired a 50% interest in Union Telecard Alliance, a move that secured and expanded the distribution of IDT's pre-paid phone cards in key markets nationwide.

IDT's Callback Division introduced its flagship Debitalk product in February, 1999. Debitalk was IDT's first pre-paid calling card to incorporate the Company's Callback technology. Both "Aqui y Alla" and Debitalk are "universal" products that enable users to place international calls from any country in the world to any other country and receive low U.S. overseas rates.

"The Spanish-speaking market has always been an important one for IDT, and we greatly value the loyal customer base we have established within the community," said Jim Courter, President of IDT. "Aqui y Alla" is a terrific product and one which should help to broaden our clientele and increase our revenues as we work to take advantage of the rapid growth in the pre-paid calling card market."
